From 1970 & 1975.

The prototype for this Kalevala Koru design dates back to the 12th century. The filigree beaded necklace was part of a valuable treasure found in Joensuu, Halikko, along with three silver cross pendants. The treasure was hidden in the ground in a roughly made clay pot around the time of Finland's conversion to Christianity, approximately 800 years ago. The hider could have been a priest wanting to save valuables from pagan Finns, or equally, the hiders could have been church robbers hiding their loot - no one knows. In any case, the treasure hoard tells of restless times, a period of upheaval that initiated a new direction of development in Finland.
