Elis Kauppi (1921-2004) founded Kupittaan Kulta Oy in 1945 together with Jorma Nurmi and Pekka Kivipuro. Elis Kauppi did not sign the jewelry with his name, but they bear the pictured pattern stamp. Vintage jewelry has been cleaned and any engravings removed. The older vintage jewelry has intentionally been left with an aged patina. Newer models and diamond jewelry have been more thoroughly cleaned and are often like new.
