Lily of the valley, Convallaria majalis, is a woodland flower that thrives in lush groves. In spring, the delicate scent of lily of the valley awakens the anticipation of summer. The fragile white flowers rise on slender stems from the middle of the green grove. For goldsmith Tony Granholm, Finland's national flower evokes his grandmother's words, according to which lilies of the valley are at their most beautiful in the forest. It took him years to figure out how to transform something as vibrant and perfectly beautiful as his favourite flower, the lily of the valley, into a piece of jewellery. In the jewellery series, the delicate bell-shaped inflorescence and the charming movement of the lily of the valley have been crafted in gold, silver, and radiant, bright bronze.
