The models for the fittings of the necklace originate from hoard finds that were hidden in the ground a thousand years ago. Unstable conditions led people to hide their treasures underground, but sometimes various beliefs also influenced the hoards. The most charming fittings from treasure finds have been assembled into the necklace. The bird has been considered not only a symbol of fertility but also a messenger between humans and gods. The bird's model is a small silver bird found in Luurila, Hattula. The designs of the diamond pendant and heart motif are likely from Eastern fittings. The shape of the crescent-shaped pendant is originally borrowed from the Roman region, where it probably had religious symbolism. The models for the decorative fittings were found in Linnanniemi, Hämeenlinna.
