Description
Twinflower, Linnaea borealis, is the delicate blossom of a lush spruce forest. The fragile plant rides on soft moss, raising flower stalks one after another. The modest twinflower is the shy beauty of the Finnish forest. Eino Leino's (1878 - 1926) beloved poem Nocturne breathes the timeless message of the Finnish summer night: The scents of twinflower and shadows of water, from them I make my heart's song. Young Eino Leino's verses have also inspired jewellery designer Kirsti Doukas. Her Vanamo jewellery's white pearls glow with delicate charm.
