The horse is a mythical animal that lived alongside the gods, sometimes winged, other times half-human. Due to its speed, it has been associated with the sun and light. A steed of poetry, a gallop of the mind, it also makes thoughts take flight. Noble and wise in nature, the horse has always been a loyal and reliable helper. Today, the close partnership with humans is evident in popular equestrian hobbies. The jewelry series designed by Kaisaleena Mäkelä is inspired by a Permian horse ornament from a thousand years ago.
