The pendants on the necklace are inspired by hoard finds that were buried a thousand years ago. Unstable conditions led people to hide their treasures underground, but sometimes various beliefs also influenced these hoards. The necklace combines the most charming pendants from these treasure finds. The bird has been considered not only a symbol of fertility but also a messenger between humans and gods. The bird is inspired by a small silver bird found in Luurila, Hattula. The rhombus pendant and heart motif models are likely derived from eastern pendants. The crescent-shaped pendant's form was originally borrowed from the Roman area, where it probably had religious symbolism. The decorative pendants were inspired by finds from Linnaniemi, Hämeenlinna.
