Jacques Offenbach’s opera, The Tales of Hoffmann, is set in the Romantic era of the early 19th century. The characters in the opera inspired jewellery designer Kirsti Doukas to create a signature jewellery collection for the opera festival. The glass reliefs embedded in the silver of the jewellery collection interpret the personalities of the three women Hoffmann loved. Young and innocent Antonia is depicted by a delicate rose-coloured pendant with an opening flower bud.
