Description
Twinflower, Linnaea borealis, is a delicate bloom of the lush spruce forest. The slender plant rides on soft moss, raising one flower stalk after another from its stem. The shy twinflower is the timid beauty of the Finnish forest. Eino Leino's (1878 - 1926) beloved poem Nocturne breathes the timeless message of the Finnish summer night: The scents of the twinflower and the shadows of the water, from them I make the song of my heart. The verses of young Eino Leino have also inspired jewelry designer Kirsti Doukas. Her Vanamo (Twinflower) jewelry's white pearls glow with delicate charm.
The piece of jewelry has five leaves and one dangling pearl.
