Description
The delicate decorative motifs of the jewelry are inspired by the victory wreaths of the ancient world. Wreaths crowned heroes and also became a symbol of eternal life. In the Empire style, which idolized ancient stylistic features, a purely classical design language was also reflected in architecture. The magnificent Empire architecture still enlivens the Finnish cityscape today. Goldsmith Tony Granholm's Juulia jewelry collection celebrates the timeless beauty of the style by choosing the victory wreath as its motif. The jewelry collection was named Juulia after the daughter of perhaps the most famous wearer of a laurel wreath, Julius Caesar. Juulia's wreath is adorned with red garnets.
