Description
The Bear of Kaleva was the strongest of the figures. It was said that the bear was the son of Hongatar herself, born by the mistress of the wilds "high in the heavens, on the shoulders of the Big Dipper." Great respect and fear were felt towards the bear, as it was half human, half forest dweller. And therefore, whoever bore the mark of the bear ruled both man and nature.
