Description
Kalevala Koru brings the magnificent jewelry treasures of the Viking Age from 800-1050 within reach of today's people. Vikings stopped on the Finnish coast during their eastern trade routes and exchanged furs for weapons and jewelry, among other things. Inspired by these jewels from different parts of the world, Finnish jewelers created new pieces that surprisingly took on a distinctly original, Finnish form. The jewelry created then, in turn, inspired later jewelers to design pieces that are clearly Viking Age in spirit. Germund Paaer, the creator of Kuutar, designed many beautiful Viking-themed pieces. Kuutar is the most popular of his designs of all time and has been manufactured since the mid-1940s.
Note! In grade 2, the bronze lacquer shows some wear.
