Description
Contrary to the picture, the jewelry is NOT bent.
Aulis Sallinen's opera "The Horseman" begins in the house of a Novgorod merchant, where Antti, the horseman, and his wife, Anna, are slaves. "The Horseman" is a love story that depicts Antti and Anna's love in circumstances that were difficult for the man, but especially for the woman. Kirsti Doukas, a jewelry designer, found inspiration for the third Savonlinna Opera Festival jewelry collection in the world of the opera. References to "The Horseman" subtly come through objects associated with riding: metal rings, harnesses, leather straps, and braids. The Horseman jewelry collection interestingly expresses the opera's theme and modern jewelry design.
