Description
Kalevankarhu (Bear of Kaleva) was the strongest of the figures. It was told how the bear was the son of Hongatar herself, whom the mistress of the wilds had given birth to "up in the heavens, on the shoulder of Otava (Ursa Major)". Great respect and fear were felt towards the bear, for it was half human, half of the forest folk. And that is why he who bore the mark of the bear ruled both man and nature.
Note! The bear has a blue stone in its eye.
